We decided to start doing these monthly reports to share with you our journey. We wanted to do this as a way to be completely transparent about our business. And when I say completely, I mean COMPLETELY transparent. That means sharing with you our income, expenses, and our key learnings like what worked, and what didn't work for us in order to help you in your business. We hope these reports will inspire you to grow or start your own business.

January was proof that having a strong December will set you up for a strong first of the year. You always want to be looking at ways to improve your business, and over time if you keep improving and keep finding out what is working, you will succeed. Most businesses are not built overnight, and my business is no different. It takes showing up every day, being consistent, and looking for small things you can improve on regularly.
This year I set a goal for myself to at least make enough to pay my monthly mortgage payment. I was able to hit that goal in January so I am already off to a great start.
No matter what kind of business you are in, it is so important to prioritize what you work on in your business in order to keep it moving forward. There are so many things that can distract you or take up your time that really don't move the needle. I try to have at least an hour every day where I work on my business (my power hour). During that hour, I make sure to spend my time working on the key things that will help my business grow. One of the most important things I do during that time is make personal contacts to potential customers, current challengers, and my team of coaches. This is where I have the most impact in my business because thats where people make the most connections. While this might not be the same thing for other businesses, this is what I have found moves my business forward the most. It's also an area I truly enjoy because in the end, I am here to serve others the best way I can.
Facebook Ads are super underrated. I think it's because most people don't really know what they are doing when they try to advertise with them. But if you can figure it out, it can be a cheap way to get potential leads. In January, we tweaked our target audience just a little bit, but it made a huge difference from the lackluster results we saw in December. We only advertised for about a week and each day set a budget for $5. We ended up averaging around $0.02-0.03 cents a Like, one time even gaining 249 new page likes in one day. Thats almost 250 new people liking your page for only $5. If I was able to convert even one of those 250 people into a customer, I would make my money back and turn a profit. Sometime we get hesitant to spend any money on social media because we can do so much for free, but putting a little money to work for you can really be a game changer and worthwhile if you are trying to accelerate growth in your business.
