Stop trying to be everything to everyone. Too often we run through life striving to be perfect, instead of present. Then one day we wake up and realize we are empty and exhausted. The truth is that in order to take care of the people God has placed in our care, we must first take care of ourselves.
We see this in the life of the Proverbs 31 women in Proverbs 31:17, "She girds herself with strength and makers her arms strong."
This isn't about looking a certain way, but being physically capable to do whatever God calls us to! I've been studying the Proverbs 31 women with my @FFHGSisters and re-reading @heavenandhomebook these past few weeks and Y'ALL- the Proverbs 31 women is a BUSY lady! She has a lot that needs to be done in order to care for her family, but still she doesn't throw herself to the side.
So here's my challenge to you today: find a healthy routine that makes your life better. Will it take consistency and discipline? ABSOLUTELY! But that's nothing the Lord can't and won't give you. It's just going to require some obedience and action on your end! Are you up for it? What do you plan to do TODAY to take steps towards progress and not perfection?
My prayer is that God uses these short devotionals to encourage and challenge you.
