Our thought life, and the messages that we tell ourselves, determine how we feel. Our feelings determine our actions. Ultimately, changing our habits & behaviors must begin with challenging negative & unhealthy mindsets. When I want to quit in the tough moments of my workouts, I tell myself (yes, out loud!) “Come on Caroline !"
Train yourself to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Memorize the scripture below or come up with a saying specific to your struggle that you can use to defeat the negativity.
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5
