Girls- it's been so hard for me to wake up lately! I have gotten in a bad habit of staying up too late and sleeping in. The result? Not completely filling up on the word of God in the mornings, therefore not having the energy to pour out.
John 7:38 says this, "When we abide in Christ, rivers of living water will flow from within us."
The truth is in order to pour out in our marriages and other relationships we must be filled up with the living water found only in Jesus! When I am full then I overflow & have more to give.
Fill up in order to pour out today sister. You will be deeply blessed as you feel His strength! This week I am committing to getting up by 7 and starting my day with Jesus! What's your game plan?
I don't say that to diminish our role as moms. Motherhood is absolutely a noble and sacred calling, BUT being a mom can not be our primary source of our identity.
Colossians 3:3-4 says, "You died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory."
The apostle Paul said our life is hidden in Christ and in Him we are His daughters. That's our identity sister! That's what shapes our calling as mom's, wives, business owners, employees, in ministry, in our families, etc.
While motherhood is absolutely a calling God may have placed on your life, that doesn't mean you have to stop dreaming. Maybe your dreams include starting a ministry or business, blogging, serving in your church or starting a community group. God has given each of us specific gifts and passions for a reason! Being a mom doesn't mean you can't pursue God's calling to serve Him in other ways.
Start dreaming, sister. Pray hard and if God is calling you, don't be afraid to take a step faith!

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12
Your body is a gift from God. He loans it to you and it’s your responsibility to manage it well. What are you doing with what He’s given you?
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ. [Colossians 3:23-24]
It's easy to get caught up in the to do list of things we "have to do." What if instead of looking at things as boring task that we dread we started looking at them as things we GET to do?
Stay with me.. I know we hear these sorts of things a lot but here's the deal: YOU SERVE THE LORD.
This isn't just about "positive thinking", this is about changing our attitude because the Lord calls us to serve Him with enthusiasm knowing that our reward is heavenly!
Let's make it our goal this week to serve the Lord with enthusiasm in WHATEVER we do! Not just the things we enjoy, but even the things we dread. Even better let's do them wholeheartedly, sincerely, energetically and earnestly, reminding ourselves that we serve King Jesus!
"God is more concerned with making us like Jesus than He is in our comfort." -Sylvia Gunter
It's easy to forget that just because God has called us to something doesn't mean it will be easy. In fact maybe there is no other way that He can get our full attention than to get us uncomfortable! It's in those moments that I am reminded the most that He doesn't need me, but blesses me by allowing me to be used for His glory.
Living out our calling will not always be easy sister BUT the blessing of our reality will be well worth it!
What's God calling you to do that you NEED boldness in this week? How can I be praying for you? Comment below. I would honestly be honored to come beside you!
STRONGER EVERY DAY.
I may run a fitness ministry/business but I am
not just talking about physical strength here. I'm talking about making yourself better every single day.
Becoming stronger spiritually, mentally and physically. Being a better wife, mom, sister, daughter, leader, fitness coach and entrepreneur. Giving every day everything I have with a "whatever it takes" attitude.
So how do we do this?
1) Consistency- show up every day. Make time for the things that are important and be intentional with your time.
2) Focus on serving others- your family, your husband, your team. Take your eyes off yourself and put them on others.
3) Be humble- be teachable and trustworthy. Allow the Lord to use every area of your life, letting go and letting Him work! Let others see how God is working in your life. Share your story, you never know how it might inspire someone else!
You are fearfully and wonderfully made sister. Make the most of your influence and focus on being STRONGER EVERY DAY!
Seasons are a beautiful gift from the Lord. From different seasons of life to different weather seasons, each bring a fresh sharpening and perspective.
No matter if a season brings immense joy or immense sorrow, I am reminded that in every season the Lord is still on His thrown and still in control.
Though seasons change, our God stays the same and I am so so thankful for His faithfulness!
God is faithful in every season, but what about us? Are we faithful to the Lord in the different seasons of life? Are we constantly looking for ways to be an arrow back to Him and display His faithfulness for a lost and dying world?
This morning during my study of Daniel 1-2:1 I was reminded of Daniel's faithfulness to the Lord. When the Lord called Him to eat differently He did it and allowed it to be a way for non-believers to see God at work. Most of us would think that seems silly, but Daniel used even the seemingly insignificant things to point people back to Jesus.
Let's make pointing people back to Jesus in every season of our lives the goal this week! Ask yourself: is my life and the way I live an arrow back to Jesus?
My prayer is that God uses these short devotionals to encourage and challenge you.
