Isaiah 43:7 says, "Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made." You were created for God's glory! Want to know your purpose? Boom! There it is, right there!
Being used for God's glory isn't something that just the "best" Christians get to experience. (There is absolutely no such thing!) No matter your background or past sin, God wants to use you for His glory! You are NOT damaged goods! Your worth does not come from what others say about you! All that God ask is childlike faith and obedience. That means true repentance and being obedient to follow His calling when He leads.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." -Psalm 139:13-14
God's works (including ME and YOU) are WONDERFUL. God knit you together! Your charm, humor, dreams, goals- He made you so so specifically sister. You are beautiful exactly the way you were made! Spend time with people who love you and pour that truth over you.
Ladies- we have got to start saying NO to what the world has to say and YES to what God has to say about us!
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:23-23
It's so so comforting to know that no matter what last week brought or what this week will bring, no matter our ups and downs, that our God does not change. He is the unchanging God: faithful, steadfast, immovable. Even in the midst of changing emotions and circumstances, we keep our hearts and minds set on Christ by reminding ourselves of the truths we know about God. Which truth are you clinging to as you head into your Monday?
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. -1 Corinthians 6:12
Your body is a gift from God. He loans it to you and it’s your responsibility to manage it well. What are you doing with what He’s given you?
First off let me just say that wanting to take care of ourselves is definitely NOT bad! I personally love to work out, dress cute, wear makeup and curl my hair. It makes me feel good and I am sure my husband likes to see me looking my best. ;) The problem is when it consumes our thoughts and becomes our main focus.
Our number one priority as women of God should be seeking God with a fully surrendered heart! Then and only then will we be able to love and serve others well.
I love Psalm 31:30, Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
It's not always easy, but it comes at a high reward! Our hearts and lives will be much richer and fulfilled when our focus and purpose are on being a light rather then just being pretty.
Who's in for joining me and making time with Jesus their number priority?! Let's spend more time in the word then in the mirror.
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." - Ephesians 5:10
What a great reminder from my Pastor yesterday! God has given you special abilities and gifts that He wants to see you using for His glory! Discover them, develop them and then go out and use them (deploy)! You were made for this sister. Know that I am here cheering you on!
When you look in the mirror this morning and your tempted to say something else, say this instead.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. -Galatians 6:9
No matter the frustration, devastation or sacrifice- keep pressing into God! His plans far outweigh what we may think is "best" and anything we have to go through to get to the other side! He is SO for you and so am I! Cheering you on today!
If someone was trying to break into your home or car, wouldn't you try to prevent it from happening? The same is true when we fall into the comparison trap! The thief is out to steal our joy and focus, and that's why we need to put boundaries in place that keep our focus on God's goodness.
Jealousy comes from counting others' blessings instead of our own. Let that sink in for a second. Today instead of falling into the comparison trap, let's focus on how GOOD God has and will be in your life! Make a list of three things He has blessed you with and share them below!
What a great way to start our Thursday ladies!
Philippians 4:8 says, Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
The enemies goal is to section off our mind and keep us from using our salvation on every area of our lives. We have got to get serious about protecting our minds and filling it with things that are true, noble, right, pure and admirable. I love what @priscillashirer says in the#ArmorofGodStudy - "Sometimes the greatest miracles God does are not in our circumstances, but in our minds." We must constantly be renewing our minds and guarding what goes in ladies! That's why daily time in God's word isn't just fun but VITAL.
Let's be strategic this week about getting our minds back and filing them with things that bring God greater glory! Who's in?!
