1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
While lifting weights has some value, lifting others up has eternal value!
Let's be known for lifting and encouraging other women up! Think about who you can love on today!
"Faith is acting like it is so, even when it is not so, so that it might be so, simply because God said so." -Dr. Tony Evans
Sounds like me in the gym. Sometimes I pick up heavy weights and push myself a little bit harder because I think and envision myself as stronger then I actually might be. Guess what happens when I do that? I actually get stronger! I might not get to the point I imagined instantly but I get a little stronger every time I pick up those heavy weights.
Same is true when it comes to having faith. We may not understand or even be able to envision what God has promised to us, but He calls us to walk in faith. He wants us to take steps of obedience that push us and make us more like Him! They may not always make sense and seem a little heavy or even light at times, but if God said it then that means we better do it.
Faith is ACTING like God is telling the truth. It's putting our belief into action.
So let's be women of Faith! Not just women who talk about Faith, but women who REALLY live it out! Who's with me?! I promise we won't regret it!
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? -Romans 8:31
You are more then a conqueror if you are in Christ Jesus. To be more than a conqueror means that before you ever get a problem, you already know that whatever problem comes your way, you can overcome it through Christ. You live with confidence that God loves you no matter what and He will never leave you nor forsake you. And when you have this kind of relationship with Christ, you aren’t constantly afraid of bad news or of things that may happen that aren’t in your plan because you know that God is ultimately in control and that His ways are always best!
Let's head in to the week reminded of who and who's we are as daughters of King Jesus! Anyone else need to be reminded of this today?
We hear this phrase a lot. We hang it on our walls, make it the background on our phones and sing it in songs. But do we truly believe it?
No matter how many weights we lift, we will never be strong enough. At some point physically and mentally our strength will fail. God's strength never fails.
the JOY of the Lord is your strength.
the joy of the Lord is YOUR strength.
the joy of the Lord is your STRENGTH.
No matter what ups and downs life brings, we find our strength in the Lord. As a result we experience is abundant joy! The joy of knowing that our strength is in Him alone.
That's why we build our lives on the truth of God's word and follow Him obediently with our whole hearts. Who's with me?!
My prayer is that God uses these short devotionals to encourage and challenge you.
