She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. Proverbs 32:15
May we be energetic and strong like the Proverbs 31 woman. This can be your physical strength (working out, health), mental strength (being there for others when they need help) and spiritual strength (asking God for guidance and praying). We are called to do these things with optimism and energy!
God, that's my prayer today. That you would make me strong and energetic like the Proverbs 31 woman. That I would have physical, spiritual and mental strength. Placing high value on Godliness which is of great value. Make me more like you every day Jesus and give me the boldness to step out in obedience.
I am going to go CHOOSE to spend time with God instead of curling my hair. I am going to CHOOSE to work out instead of wasting time watching netflix. I am going to CHOOSE to be present with my husband instead of scrolling instagram.
You have the ability to CHOOSE what your life will look like.
"As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God?" (Psalm 42:1-2). "God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water" (Psalm 63:1).
Hunger and thirst are intense desires and that's the same intensity we need in seeking righteousness. Do you have that kind of desire for a truly Christian lifestyle that changes us from the inside out? A lifestyle that we no longer seek the praise of people but causes us to seek God's approval above everything else?
"Just because you read the Bible doesn't mean you've chosen it as your standard for living- any more than a person with a gym membership is necessarily committed to using the equipment in the gym. The real test comes when the ideals and philosophies of our culture swing in the opposite direction, and yet we choose to stand strong and firm on the unchanging standard of God. The time has come for us to be women girded in truth." -Priscilla Shirer, Armor of God
AMEN. When I read that during my study last week I just couldn't get it out of my head and off my heart. We have got to build our lives on the TRUTH and truth (Ephesians 4:21) is in Jesus.
Isaiah 55:12 says For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
There is a song of JOY that God puts into the hearts of those who believe! You have been released from bondage and that is worth celebrating and sharing every single day! Go out with JOY today sister! Celebrate the hope and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Ephesians 2:18 says, For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Ephesians 3:12 says, In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
God says you are bold and confident if you are in Christ Jesus! As believers, we are called to live bold and courageous lives. Walk boldly and confidently today, believing and receiving that you are who God says you are! It's time to rise up, shake off fear and be the confident person God believes and calls you to be!
My prayer is that God uses these short devotionals to encourage and challenge you.
